ABYC Reminder: Not All Smart Chargers Are Suitable for Lithium Batteries
Can I use my existing smart charger?
Only if it has a Lithium (LiFePO₄) mode or adjustable voltage ≤14.6 V with no equalization or desulfation. Many lead-acid smart chargers are not suitable.
If the charger does not explicitly say Lithium / LiFePO₄, assume NOT compatible.
Lynac Cranking Series
Compatible Chargers
Use a charger that meets **all** of the following:
Charge voltage ≤ 14.6 V
No "equalization" mode
No "recondition / desulfation"mode
Float ≤ 13.6 V or float **disabled**
Alternator Charging
Vehicle/engine alternators are generally acceptable when:
*Regulated output **13.8 – 14.4 V**
* No smart-alternator spikes** or boost events above 14.6 V

✔️ Quick Dealer Check
If the charger has a **Lithium (LiFePO₄) mode**, it is typically compatible with Lynac cranking batteries.
